Seven St. Henry Crusaders found the net Aug. 31, as the women's soccer team routed Lloyd Memorial 12-0 in a district opener at Lloyd.
Hayden Harlan and Anna Bain each scored three goals to lead the attack. Anna Yuskewich added two, and Saleena Egan, Mady Lux, Ava Waymeyer and Bella O'Neill each scored once, according to St. Henry Athletics.
The varsity-only matchup was the Crusaders' first district game of the season.
Harlan has been St. Henry's most consistent offensive threat this fall. She scored twice in an 8-0 win over Ludlow on Aug. 26. She also netted the lone goal in the 21st minute of St. Henry's 1-0 victory over Holy Cross on Aug. 22 to clinch the 9th Region All 'A' Classic championship. Goalkeeper Kaylee Ryan recorded the clean sheet in that title game.
The All 'A' run included a first-round penalty-kick win over Beechwood on Aug. 17. The two teams played to a 0-0 draw through regulation before St. Henry won the shootout 4-1.
St. Henry also beat Villa Madonna 8-0 on Monday, Aug. 24, in a conference match.
The Crusaders' only loss came Aug. 15, a 1-0 defeat at Newport Central Catholic in their season opener. Since that loss, St. Henry has won every game with a confirmed result, posting 8-0 victories over both Villa Madonna and Ludlow in addition to the All 'A' title run.
St. Henry traveled to Gatlinburg, Tenn., for the Smoky Mountain Cup on Aug. 29-30. Scores from those games had not been posted as of Sept. 1.
