All southbound lanes of I-75 close at the Freeman Avenue exit from 11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, through 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, for Linn Street Bridge girder installation, with a presidential rally near NKU adding to Saturday traffic.

Seat belt enforcement blitz hits NKY roads Friday

Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement will run heightened seat belt checkpoints across northern Kentucky from Friday, Oct. 9, through Monday, Oct. 12, as part of the multistate Operation Crash Reduction campaign.

Brent Spence project brings 18-month I-71 detour in 2027

ODOT and KYTC officials said Oct. 7 that the $4.05 billion Brent Spence Companion Bridge project is on schedule, with northbound I-71 traffic set to detour through I-275 and I-471 for about 18 months starting spring 2027 and the Covington 12th Street ramp possibly reopening before the end of 2026.
