St. Henry's girls' soccer team put seven different players on the scoresheet in an 8-0 rout of Villa Madonna on Aug. 24, opening the regular season at Gumz Family Track and Field in Erlanger.

Eight goals. Seven scorers. Zero allowed.

Hayden Harlan led the attack with two goals, continuing a stretch that saw her net the championship-winning goal in the 9th Region All 'A' Classic final just two days earlier. Six teammates each added one: Mady Lux, Bella O'Neill, Olivia McElheney, Kaylee Ryan, Rylee Schmidt and Reagan Conley. Goalkeeper Mallory Collins recorded the shutout behind a defense that kept Villa Madonna off the board all night.

The Crusaders carried clear momentum into the regular-season opener. On Aug. 22, St. Henry claimed the 9th Region All 'A' Classic title by edging Holy Cross 1-0 in the regional final. Harlan found the net in the 21st minute of that match, and Ryan earned the clean sheet in goal.

St. Henry's All 'A' run began with a first-round penalty-kick thriller against Beechwood on Aug. 17. The teams finished regulation scoreless before the Crusaders advanced 4-1 from the spot.

Harlan has scored in back-to-back matches, netting the All 'A' championship winner against Holy Cross before her brace against the Vikings on Monday. The sophomore-heavy roster showed depth against Villa Madonna, with goals coming from all areas of the pitch across the 80 minutes.

Monday's varsity match kicked off at 6:30 p.m. as part of a JV/varsity doubleheader at St. Henry District High School. St. Henry Athletics posted the full scorer list on X, crediting all seven goal scorers and Collins with the shutout.

The Crusaders now turn their attention to the rest of a regular-season schedule that follows their regional tournament title.
