Crestview Hills residents can start clearing out their closets. The city's annual city-wide garage sale is set for Sept. 12, and participation is free.
Residents who want to sell need a garage sale permit, available at no cost through the city's website. The online application can be found at crestviewhills.gov under the permits section. The city posted the announcement Aug. 25, but did not list a start time or hours for the event.
The sale takes place at individual homes across the city. Residents with questions can contact City Hall at (859) 341-7373.
Crestview Hills, which is marking its 75th anniversary this year with events including a city-run scavenger hunt, joins several other Kenton County cities that hold seasonal community sales. Villa Hills wrapped up its own two-day fall yard sale Sept. 4-5. Edgewood hosted a Freedom Park Yard Sale on Aug. 8. Lakeside Park and Fort Wright both held city-wide sales in May.
The garage sales have become a fall tradition across the area, giving neighbors a chance to shop close to home while sellers clear space ahead of the holidays.
