Kenton County residents battered by severe storms and flash flooding over the past two weeks are getting a break. The National Weather Service office in Wilmington, Ohio, forecasts dry skies and warming temperatures across Fort Mitchell, Edgewood, Villa Hills, and surrounding communities through Sunday, with rain chances returning Sunday night.

Friday night, July 25

Partly cloudy with a low around 62°F and light north wind, according to the NWS. A calm evening after a week that included the July 21 severe weather event with tornadoes and flooding, and the July 17 flash flood that damaged the Edgewood city building badly enough to cancel the July 20 council meeting.

Sunny with a high near 86°F. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. No rain expected.
