Lakeside Park is pushing ahead on three infrastructure projects that will bring new sidewalk, road resurfacing and crack sealing to city streets through late 2027.

The city's August public works status report, prepared by engineer Martin Hellmann of Verdantas and dated Aug. 27, outlined timelines and costs for each project.

Dixie Highway sidewalk

Crestview Hills is leading construction of a new sidewalk along the east side of Dixie Highway from Carran Drive to Whitehouse Drive. About 35 feet of that sidewalk falls within Lakeside Park's city limits, and the city has signed an agreement to pay up to $10,000 for its portion.

Crestview Hills has secured a temporary right-of-way from homeowners at 2713 Dixie Highway. Verdantas submitted plans to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) and has received comments on contract documents, which it is updating.

The project still awaits KYTC design approval. Crestview Hills Public Works Committee minutes from Aug. 5 show the approval had not yet come through. City Engineer Mike Yeager was set to contact KYTC about the delay.

Bellemonte Avenue resurfacing

The Northern Kentucky Water District asked to coordinate its water main replacement on Bellemonte Avenue with the city's planned resurfacing and curb replacement.

The report lists a schedule calling for design work in 2026, bidding in December 2026 and construction from March through October 2027.

Public Works Director Steve Greer and Verdantas walked the site July 29 to assess the current design and measure concrete joints for driveway tie-ins.

Crack seal program: $39,444

Contractor Riegler will seal 35,600 linear feet of city streets at $1.14 per linear foot, a unit price held over from the 2025 program. The total cost is approximately $39,444.

A change order has been signed by all parties.

Riegler will complete the 2026 streets along with remaining 2025 streets. The city building parking lot seal coating is done.
