Kenton County families can sign an online safety pledge before Kentucky Safe Schools Week begins Sept. 14.

The Kenton County School District posted the announcement on Sept. 4, directing residents to a pledge page run by the Kentucky Center for School Safety. The statewide week runs Sept. 14–18 under the theme "Strong Roots. Safe Schools."

The district said the theme stresses the need for secure learning environments across the Commonwealth.

The Kentucky Center for School Safety, a statewide organization that provides safety training and resources to schools, coordinates the annual week. Families with questions can reach the center toll-free at 877-805-4277.
